Life Without Pop Culture?
             Is it possible to live a life without media? Today’s society is overwhelmed with media and swarmed its messages . Many people live their lives through what they learn from the media. Popular culture is any sort of fashion or idea that is accepted by a large population. It often influences many teens and adults to live a life based on keeping up with the latest trends. These trends include fashion, music, cars, and many other things in which are repeatedly fed to society through the media. I believe that today’s pop culture influences drug use and under-aged drinking amongst the teens of America. Given the situation, it is the job of the parents to instill morals in their children to make them well aware of the possible consequences that come along with under aged drinking and drug use. With the influence pop culture is having on teens today, parents have no other choice but to make sure their children know what is right and what is wrong at a young age. Parents must enforce morals in their children at a young age. Doing this will give the child the knowledge of what is right and what is wrong morally, instead of acting on what is popular and unpopular amongst other teens. Pop culture often influences teens to care about what is popular rather than what is morally correct. Especially in America, where keeping up with the latest trend is something many teens strive for.
In America, pop culture is a part of everyday life. From billboards along the freeways to television shows you watch and the radio stations you listen to in your car, there is a constant exposure to pop culture. Pop culture shapes the ideas, beliefs, and the attitudes of a person. It also influences the way a person views another person or a certain group of people.
