Long Distance Relationships
Couples in long distance relationships are more likely to be set up for failure. When students go off to college and leave their significant other in their home town, when they meet online and they are in completely different states; hundreds or thousands miles away, when one takes a job offering and cant bring their significant other, or when they join the military, and aren't aloud to talk at all. These relationships have a hard time with physical affection, communication, knowing their partner will be spending more time with other people, time difference, needing an end game plan, and just knowing relationships are 90% promises. Some couples get through these relationship and work towards being together as soon as possible and others are pushed apart from one another.
Long distance couples have noticed sometimes failure is the best way to learn. Being in a relationship with another person before they go away for awhile, couples have to understand it is going to be hard without that one person beside them. Not being able to hug them, kiss them, or just have that natural comfort of them next to them or close to them. It doesn’t take an eight-year psychology degree to realize hugs are great. However, one will start to miss them after a month of being away from their other. Even though the physical affection is one thing that mostly gets lost with the distance, communication is high up there on the list too.
You can talk with someone for years, everyday, and still, it won't mean as much as what you can have when you sit in front of someone, not saying a word, yet you feel that person with your heart, you feel like you have known the person for forever.... connections are made with the heart, not the tongue.
