Apple computers and Windows PC’s both have similar aspects to them. They both run on an advanced operating system, come with some similar software, and have customizable memory units. Windows computers also come in many varieties while Apple manufactures only a handful of computers. Apple only is associated with one type of computer, Mac. The Windows operating system by Microsoft is associated with numerous computer companies including Apple’s Mac. Although PC’s are more business-like, Apple computers make it nearly impossible to obtain a virus, have a better operating system and can even run Windows separately.
The Mac computer has been designed that it is incredibly difficult to get a virus into the system, Windows has yet to perfect that task and require a virus protection program, firewall protection, and security programs. Since the year 2001, there has only been one reported virus on a Mac computer that was received from an unnamed website (Goodin D8). Another reason is that most people who write up the viruses are more accustomed to the Windows platform and can make a virus quicker and easier for it. (”Do Macs get...”). Apples computer is better on the fact that they cannot be infected by a virus nearly as easily.
