There are some similarity between formal research and business proposals. Finding that both may or may not be presented with headings and subheading. In both formal research and business proposals the restrictions are not applicable in their reports. Academic orientation will be inevitable in formal research because formal research has value in the practical business sector to the extent in terms that provide the starting point for research in the future.
Companies use formal research report to see if certain projects will succeed, while business proposal are written to start new products.
Product developers use formal research to figure out requirements for developing other products by their company. Formal research builds on comparable research in order to discover, demonstrate and test hypothesis. Although there are no financial implications but it generates varieties of findings that maybe made applicable in a wide range of context.
Business proposals should list recommendations that would create suitable structure that will incorporate the four roles. According to Bazerman and Moore (2009), “Formal research report provides basic information and statistics in a given field or industry, depending on the focus decided by the company.”
Both formal research and business proposals can be used together. Business proposals include a description of the proposal at hand. There are areas that describe in general an approach of proposals. Budget in business proposals outline expenses associated with business proposals. Sometimes when writing or doing business proposals unexpected things happen, then it becomes necessary to take the right action.
