Through time and history people and society has changed. So that means jobs and they are
handled had to be change. You constantly have to change the way you run a business when there is a huge change in society otherwise your business might fail.
The start of management evolution began when new machines started coming into the workforce. People generally didn’t like the machines. They didn’t know how to use them, they were loud and dirty. Put the main reason why people disliked the machines was because they thought the machines would eventually take over their jobs. With the machines more people were coming to work, the bosses and managers were not used to working with larger groups especially in large companies. So managers began to realize they need to change the way they manage and work with their employees.
As managers and researchers began to change the way people work, they came up with many different approaches. One of the approaches was Management thought that had many different approaches. Scientific management was one of the perspectives under Management thought. Scientific management found that employee’s need to emphasis the efficacy or work.
Employers do that by selecting the best workers, tanning them, make sure that workers are doing their jobs the best way possible by incentive and dividing work equally between management and workers. Another perspective under management thought is called the Behavioral Approach. The Behavioral focuses on the relationship with workers and their needs.
Social relationships between managers and employees help the workers work better and become more efficient because they began to feel more valued.
Edwards Deming is a great thinker who changed the way business manage their workers. It has had a great influence on business management.
