Ladies and Gentleman, today am going to talk about why i disagree with the fact that marijuana is illegal, and the importance for its legalization. Marijuana is largely considered as a dangerous substance. We've heard over and over that it's addictive, deadly, kills brain cells, causes cancer....but is any of that true, is smoking marijuana really bad?
I'd like to inform you on some general facts about marijuana...Marijuana can be very beneficial, its known to be peaceful and relaxant, in which it calms the person down, as opposed to alcohol which causes rage, social disability, makes one furious, lose senses and causes a significant increase in crime rates. Marijuana is not an addictive drug, furthermore recent studies suggest that marijuana may be advantageous in where it can be used as a substitute for alcohol and other dangerous drugs. Government experts admit that marijuana does not kill brain cells. Unlike alcohol, marijuana does not cause brain damages, marijuana does not cause cancer, and so forth. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, the annual causes of death in the United States are as follows: Tobacco is the leading cause of death with 435,000 deaths, alcohol with 85,000 deaths, and 32,000 deaths from prescription drugs, however ZERO deaths are associated with marijuana. Furthermore marijuana, is also a medicinal herb that has been proved to cure many different diseases ... patients suffering from disorders and diseases such as cancer, aids, chronic pain, epilepsy, anorexia, and insomnia would have easy access to medical marijuana in order to ease their suffering. In addition all the previous benefits I mentioned, there is also one important advantage to legalizing Marijuana.. Governments can get the advantage to reap big profits from legalizing marijuana, because they would be able to collect taxes on such substances thereby more money would be funded in the government which would also create more government jobs...Marijuana...
