Legalization of Marijuana
         For decades one of the biggest arguments in the USA has been the legalization of marijuana. The government can’t decide if they should make it legal. Even though it has become legal in some states, it has not become fully legal for the public. Although it has proven to help people with some sickness or diseases the government still has trouble of deciding if it should become legal or not.
        There are plenty of drugs in the world today like Cocaine, Crystal Meth, Heroin, Crack, Ecstasy, Mushrooms, marijuana and much more. However what makes marijuana different from other drugs is that no one has died from it. Cocaine kills over 10,000 people every year in the US. Crystal meth kills over 1000s of people die every year and every year 300,000 new users try it for the first time so that number it’s going to rise up real fast. Heroin kills over 6500 people in the US a year, that’s pretty scary. Crack is another drug that is commonly used and it is illegal, this drug kills over 17 thousand people every year. Ecstasy is a pill that is illegal; it killed 76 people last year. Although marijuana has not yet reported a death it is still illegal for other reasons.
       Some of the reasons why marijuana is illegal and bad are because it has a chemical that affects your brain. That chemical is called THC, which is the chemical that gets the person high. It can also affect the lungs and throat after a long period of time that it’s been used. Doctors also say that if a woman that smokes marijuana during pregnancy, it could cause birth defects and other problems for the baby.
       Nevertheless, marijuana is still a depressant and that’s true however it is also proven to help people some of the most difficult handicaps and sickness.
