Martyt

Rachel Joy Scott is my favorite martyr. Rachel Scott was born August 5th 1981 and died during a Columbine school shooting on April 20th1999, she was only 17. According to Comlubinemartyrs.com Rachel was involved with music, writing, singing and acting. The site said she is the type of person who always was kind to others. She had strong beliefs about god and tried to live in his ways. Every day in the columbine cafeteria, Rachel would search amongst the crowded seats for new faces. When she saw someone who didn’t look familiar and seemed to be alone she would walk over and eat with them. Rachel used to keep a diary, with mostly letters to god. She would write to Jesus and ask him for a chance for her to reach the unreached; she wanted him to help her spread his word. She knew that she would one day touch the hearts of many because behind her dressed she outlined her hands and inside them she wrote “These hands belong to Rachel Joy Scott and will someday touch millions of people’s hearts.” On the day of April 20th1999 two boys approached her with guns and asked her if she believed in god and her reply was yes. Rachel was the first victim of the Columbine killings. She was shot 4 times according to acolumibinesite.com. After I heard her sister’s presentation I had a lot of respect for Rachel Scott as a martyr. She was a very spiritual 17 year-old and she really did try to live in god’s way, despite what every other teenager was doing. I think that alone deserves a lot of respect. She had strong beliefs and she affected other people’s lives because of those beliefs. I feel as if Rachel...
