One time back in the eight grade I had a friend who was very close to me. We did everything together. He was a little bit on the wild side though. I was always trying to be humble about the things that I did. My mom would kill me if she knew the things he would talk me into. One thing I will say was he was smart though. One time we had this test coming up, but my friend had to leave for a funeral from a death in the family. He came back on the day of the test. I knew he didn't study, so he asked if he could cheat off my paper just this one time becuse of what happen. I let him do it not thinking about the consequences. We ended up with in A letter grade and we didn't get caught.
To me I couldn't really tell if it was ethical or unethical. I was just trying to help out a friend in need. I don't think I would have had a change of heart or alternative if he would have asked me today. My behavior wasn't legal at all, but we didn't get caught. He did all of his work though and studies after that. He just had a rough time because of his family member.
In the end I felt bad for his family, but I also felt bad for myself for cheating on the test. It was just that one time and when you care about someone you like to help them out. If the shoe was reversed I would have wanted him to do that for me to. Something unexpected happens like that you don't think about studing you just go threw the motions.
