BEING A FATHER

Throughout life people experience events that change their lives. Some are good; others are bad, but either way, they improve your life in some sense. My life altering event happened almost two years ago on a cold November night. It was the night my daughter was born. It was the night I became a father. Becoming a father is a life changing experience for everyone. In my experience, my perspective on life changed radically, I understand what my parents when through, and I developed a new sense of responsibility and stability. I saw it as an opportunity to turn my life around for the better. I now had the conscientiousness to take care of my daughter and my family. When I was younger, I used to put people down and always blamed others for my mistakes. I recognize what I did was wrong and ungrateful. Being father can make you become conscious of many things and see what your parents went through when you were younger. You see how all the things you did when you were little and thought was amusing were in actuality wrong. A Childs mind is open to everything and is full of an imagination that never seems to cease even as they progress through life. To be a good parent you have to understand what your child is going through and see life through their eyes from time to time. When you can learn to do that and have that bond between you and your infant, then it makes it a lot easier. Life to me is too short, thus I encourage everyone to spend as much time as they can with their kids and build that bond that every parent needs in life. Those bonds that you comprehend the moment you become a parent and realize that you’re not only responsible for yourself but another life. I understood that the day, no the moment, I became a father. I see every day that my daughter needs me not just financially but emotionally and mentally as well. As every father knows, when your child is sick you’re there; when they’re hungry, you’re there....
