Change is something that happens every day in the life of any individual; accept these changes depend on the way of thinking of each individual and its mental models. It is common that there are people who resist changes it constitutes a challenge for organizations that must convince and demonstrate to employees the advantages of these changes to the company's success.
AAA Transport in Waukegan, Illinois, is an interstate transport company that specializes in the transport of perishable products in climate controlled trailers. The new owner plans to add the transport of non-perishable products that includes canned food to their delivery routes; however within the human resources of the company, are two employees Vernon, and Bud, who are reluctant to change. These employees have worked at the company for more than 20 years and have a huge influence on other employees and the Administration does not intend to dismiss them but instead wants to preserve them and to convince them that accept the change. This paper will show how it would be possible to modify mental models/mindsets through some procedures as well as forces that may come to influence the models/mentality of the employees and that can affect the decision-making.
The new owners want to add the line of transport of non-perishable products in the form of canned foods to their current routes of delivery, and this is possible because at present there is a space not used in the trucks carriers of the perishable goods, space that could be exploited [The passive voice is a form of "be" (be) and a participle (exploited). Over-use of the passive voice can make paragraphs officious and tedious to read. Prefer the active voice. For example, passive voice = The paper was completed on time.
