Theresa lived in Boston during modern times and was a columnist for a magazine. She was very famous around her area for her great writing. Theresa ended up falling in love with a man named Garrett Blake who lived in Wrightsville beach, North Carolina also during modern times. Garrett was a man that loved the ocean; he owned a small shop near the beach and enjoyed sailing the ocean on his boat Happenstance. Garrett Blake’s first love was named Catherine, who died from being hit by a car and he felt as if he would never get over her. One day Theresa was running down the beach and she found a message in a bottle, the message was written by Garrett as a love letter to Catherine after her death.
