Metamorphosis

METAMORPHOSIS:

“Metamorphosis is a biological process by which an animal physically develops after birth or hatching, involving a conspicuous and relatively abrupt change in the animal's body structure through cell growth and differentiation.”
 Wait! This is not a biology article, just a statement from Wikipedia’s tedious explanation of the word. In a nutshell the word just means “change”. It is so common thing or phenomenon to see for everything is changing from time to time. While writing this article, I wondered about my own metamorphosis. Also I went through a number of articles and quotes dealing with the word and came across beautiful quotes I will state here with some of my thoughts coalesced to form this article. For people like you and me, change is just an outcome of our experiences throughout our life. There’s mental change, physical change, emotional change et al as we grow up. Some are for good, some worse.
When I think about myself I remember being mocked for my poor English not by my teachers, who actually believed in me, but by some who are expected to be supportive. Well few of them. And now I am being asked to pursue writing for now I am “creative”. So ironical! Isn’t it? I am or not creative that’s whole another point which is not the question here. But the question is how? Is it because I improved? Or people just make sentence of judgment and others merely follow? It’s amusing actually.
Moving ahead, the best example of metamorphosis is of a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. So the basic process is a caterpillar eat its way out of the egg, undergoes few physical changes, builds a cocoon, and finally, wonder as a moth emerges, after spending nine months in a cocoon, into a beautiful adult butterfly. And most of all, come away with an appreciation of what is so often trodden underfoot without awareness or care.
