As a supervisor, I would want to verify the validity of the rumors. I would investigate the rumors to find out what they are about and where they are coming from. My first step in doing this is to look into the rumors and figure out what the truth is. I would then investigate the rumors further to verify if they are true or false. During the investigation I would gather information from the employees and look into the information to make sure that I have enough evidence to back up my findings. My next step would be to speak with upper management about what I have discovered. I would show them the evidence I have collected and discuss possible solutions with them. I would offer to speak with the employees to find out what they are feeling, what it would take to change their feelings, and ask what part or parts of the process they would like to see change. I would then schedule a meeting with upper management, supervisors and employees so a discussion on the changes the employees feel are needed can take place.
