The role
This is an exciting role for a talented new business and sales professional to join the busy sales and marketing department at this ambitious software business.
The purpose of the role is to raise awareness of company products and services and generate good quality sales opportunities that contribute to achieving company sales targets. This will be achieved through planning and implementing sales and prospecting activity for our professional development portfolio of products.
The new Account Manager will use a wide range of skills to help the business progress. It is the perfect role for an ambitious, tenacious and personable individual.
Responsibilities
Generate new income through innovation, energy and application
Pre-sales support
New business development
Maintaining CRM
Competitor and sector intelligence
Day-to-day activities
New business generation via telephone and email in order to book meetings for
Attending meetings with sales team where required to maintain relationships with prospective clients
Pre-sales support to follow up on meetings, emails, timescales etc
Helping to prepare tender documents and bid submissions
Updating and maintaining TASK CRM for new business and existing prospects
Ensuring accurate contact details are held on all target decision makers and organisations for sales and marketing activity
Researching and maintaining competitor and sector intelligence to share internally with sales, marketing and product teams
Conducting social media activity (Twitter and LinkedIn) to build brand awareness and position as thought leader
Assisting marketing with campaigns and follow up activity
The person
Proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and presentation skills
Fluent in both verbal and written English
Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
