With the advancement in information and communication technologies, revolution can not only be seen in the business world but also mechanisms for delivery of services have been transformed. Since early 1990s, public sector companies across the globe using internet technology to improve the delivery of services to the stakeholders which is commonly known as electronic government . As the world has become global village, people compare the availability of services with rest of the world in general, and with developed countries in particular. Such awareness and comparison stimulate people to demand for more reliable and convenient services from public and private sectors. Although e-government has been a key tool to provide effective services for both public and private sector firms in most of the developing countries, yet such organizations are looking for new ways to improve service quality and to cater the escalating needs of the society for more convenient and mobile services . Such demands by society led governments to shift from Electronic-government to Mobile-government. Moreover, an outburst in making use of mobile tools such as personal digital assistant, laptops and mobile phones with the wireless internet technology made this transition possible for public agencies.
Mobile government aimed at delivery of services in fields, houses, streets, cars and during weekends rather than people have to visit public offices to avail the facility . Mobile government provides and assures mobility for people, corporate world and public agencies. Users of mobile technology can conveniently access real-time and personalized information with the assurance of maximizing benefits of using mobile technology . Moreover, users can access information on their mobile phones anywhere due to its small size .
