Monologue

Monologue

Why won’t Jack understand? Argh, I lost my chance to follow my dream when I could, I don’t want my younger brother to go through the very same thing when there’s still a way!

I know he’ll regret it if he doesn’t tell mom and dad. They wanted me to become a lawyer, and here I am, studying law. But it’s not what I’m good at, nor is it what I like. They don’t understand that I want to act. I want to perform. Instead, every morning, I wake up to books to read, more exams to come.

Jack has so much passion for art. He’s got the talent. The moment I saw his sketches he was hiding, I knew it. I understand he doesn’t want to waste all the hard work our parents have put in to get us a good education, to pursue high ranking jobs. But I don’t want to see him waste his life like this. He won’t be happy
