It was 6:00 a.m. when I woke up to the buzzing of my alarm clock. After rolling over to shut it off, I continued to just lie there and stare at the ceiling. I felt the aches and pain take over the muscles in my body. IT was time to get up and start yet another day of cheerleading camp. Camp was a function my high school cheerleading squad attended every year together in order to build and strengthen our skills. We did this not only for the benefits of ourselves, but also for the team as a whole. After scattering around the room, trying to get ready, my friend, April and I walked out the door into the hot and humid morning air. We were ready to take on the new challenges and obstacles that awaited us on the field that day. Although camp was always a fun experience, it was also a lot of hard work. Out of all the years of attending camp the most meaningful and memorable year to me was my senior year of high school. Not only was it my last chance to attend camp with my team, but it was also my last opportunity to be nominated for All-American Cheerleader.
