Business Proposal

The increase of technology over even the last few decades has been remarkable. Now almost everywhere you go, you see a person walking down the street either talking on their phone or listening to their MP3 players. What I would like to do is take advantage of the increased usage of technologies by taking textbooks and converting them into an MP3 format. We would provide audio copies of textbooks so that a student would be able to listen to their textbook while on the go.
There is nothing like this available to students at this point. Imagine taking a twenty minute walk to class and then a twenty minute walk home. During this time you could be listening to your MP3 player and have covered forty minutes of material in your spare time. This is clearly an advantage to your standard textbook, sure you could also be walking with your textbook and reading it while you walk but this is much more convenient and awkward. By making the audio textbooks available for download online it also makes them more available to students when they need them. With the increase pace of life that many of us have in the world today an audio version of a textbook would allow for more multitasking and convenience which would give it a competitive advantage.
The target group that I have chosen is mainly going to be college students. College students are predominantly the ones who are purchasing and reading these textbooks. College is a very busy time of life and it can often be difficult to balance everything at the same time. Customers will enjoy the ability to listen to the audio of their textbook will commuting as many college students must or while exercising which is another popular activity among college students.
The great thing about this business venture is that college or learning for that matter is not a trend that is going to fade anytime soon. Along with that more and more aspects of technology are becoming MP3 friendly or compatible,...
