My Road to Educational Success
Education is the foundation to me being successful and meeting my goals in life. Although there are many different avenues to education, whether it be college, military, or trade school, education can determine one’s present and future goals in life. Understanding and evaluating my past has helped me come to the conclusion that in order for me to achieve my goals and excel in my career I needed to get a secondary education. I chose to return to college to help me meet my goals and that is what has brought me to enroll in college.
There have been a lot of events that has happened in my life that has helped me make the decision to return to college. After I graduated from high school I dropped out of college to begin working full time ever since then I have always had a job. My past and current work experience has been a great motivation for me. I have been unemployed for almost two years now and the job market is getting to be very competitive. I have been on hundreds of interviews and I have not been able to find a job yet. I have had past work experience in banking and various accounting positions. The horrible economy in the United States has affected many people including me and has been declared the worst since the Great Depression. (The Daily Censored) I have been told by many job recruiters that I was denied employment positions because they chose to go with other candidates that had more education. This was another major motivation that helped me make the decision to attend college. I no longer want to be denied a job due to education and I have more long-term goals other than just a paycheck to paycheck job, I want a career.
