My experience on roller coasters





“Thump thump, thump thump, thump thump”, my heart accelerated in my chest like a hollow drum. The hot sun glared down on me in what I imagined to be a spotlight, glazing my face with sweat. I scrutinized the crowd for ways of escape. Why did I have to be the confident one? I could feel the eyes of my family members surrounding me, piercing into me. As we lined up to what could be our deaths, for entertainment, the bright, red color of the death machine jumped out at me. I was now frozen in the spot and couldn’t feel my legs as I listened to the wailing screams on those already being flung like a drag doll in multiple directions by the heart failure inducing machine that they call a roller coaster. The line grew shorter and shorter and so did my opportunities to change my mind my but the fear of being called a coward stifled the scream building p in my throat. I avoided eye contact with my family so as to keep them from figuring out the fear boiling inside of me.
This was is ride or die. I entered into the death trap inspecting it as I went along. Suddenly it took off! “AHHHHHH!” I could hear the deafening screams of the others bellowing in my ears. My hands grasped onto the bars for dear life. Something caught my eye, it was breathtakingly beautiful. The view of the town from up here was unlike anything I had ever seen before. I was now upside down and my heart beat exploded in my ears as we plummeted downwards. However, the heart attack that was surely on its way felt as it was drifting further and further away as the adrenaline kicked in. “Blam!” We dropped sharply and were trusted forward and I felt as if I left my stomach because but was having too much fun to care about the queasy feelings that came along with all the fun. The roller coaster took its path flinging and turning us in all directions and curdling my stomach in the process but the speed was exhilarating and I could help but feel like a secret spy or agent...
