My Life Not My Way
In my life, I have had my share of difficulties. Through it all, I have had family and friends. At this moment, my life is 44 years in the making. No one in my family not even I, saw me in school at this age. For my writing assignment, I will be discussing how my life leads up to this moment.
My family was at one time a very close family. We did everything together; we would go to my grandmother’s house. Everyone would be there; it was as if we had a family reunion ever weekend. My mother did the best she could to hold everything together; we stayed close until the death of my mother.
Being the youngest of two was not as easy as some say it is. I cannot say I understood what was going on. However, I could feel that there was something hanging over my head I just did not know what it was. It seems that I was blamed for everything, when I look back and think about it I just laugh. I remember one time I was asleep and mom woke me up about some cereal in the sink, of course, it was my sister that put the cereal in the sink.
My parents were divorced before I was born, I have asked every family member that I thought was old enough to have a picture of my father and I to this day I have not found one. My father did not enter my life until I was 12 are 13 years old. I grew up thinking it had to be my fought that my parents had divorced.
