My Modest Proposal

My Modest Proposal

My Modest Proposal
I am going to write about gas problems. The reason that gas is a problem is because the price on gas keeps rising. I do not know exactly how much it has risen in the last year, but it is about a dollar and ten cents. The gas seems to be going up every year. Not just in last year has gas prices gone up.
My first proposal to solve gas prices is to stop both female and male teenage drivers. This is because they basically waste gas by filling up and then totaling their cars. Basically that means that the gas in the tank is then wasted. Just simply raising the age limits for driving could help one or two years. Maybe whoever gets a driver’s license should spend more hours taking tests in order to drive safer.
My second proposal would be to boycott gas for one or two days. Once the gasoline sellers see no sales are being made they would drop the prices. In the dropping of their prices, the prices would stay down. Since the price would be down, then the prices would stay down. Since the prices would be down, people would start buying more and not conserving gas as much. Since people would be buying more gasoline, then the gas sellers would actually make more money.
My third proposal would be to make more gas efficient cars. If more gas efficient cars were made, sales would decrease and prices would drop. People wouldn’t make as many stops a day and waste their time. People could have more time to spend on themselves a month by all the money they would be saving on gas. Gas would probably be given away with one fill-up.
If someone would take my proposals about gas problems, we might find a solution. The reason that gas is a problem is because the price on gas keeps rising. I do not know exactly how much it has risen in the last year, but it is about a dollar and ten cents. The gas seems to be going up every year. Not only in the last year has the gas risen but it has been constantly rising ever year.
