My motivation for returning to school

Attending and graduating from college is the best way to prepare for a career that pays well and provides a means to a secure future. Returning to school is never a bad idea, although there are successful people out there, who never returned to school, but it is very unlikely to get a good job without a degree in today’s work force. Going back to school will allow me to get my degree so that when my enlistment contract is up, I can continue to make a living. Providing for my family is the most important benefit that I would receive from continuing my education. Going back to school will be very rewarding but is far from easy and can be very stressful at times. Returning to school will not benefit my children, friends, and family by showing those that you can not do whatever you put your mind to, no matter what odds are stacked against you, nor should you give up just because you are told that you can’t achieve them.
I had to decide whether to stay in the military or to continue my education while in the military so that I could provide for my family after my contract is up. I made the decision to continue my education while in the military to prepare myself later. I have made the decision to first get my associates then continue on to get my bachelors, Getting a good paying job in today’s workforce is virtually impossible without some type of post high school degree. Being determined and hard working, will allow me to complete my education and begin a career that will provide after the military and pave the way to a secure retirement. There are even some jobs that will pay a college graduate more than someone with only a high school diploma just because they have a college degree, regards of what field the degree is actually in.
