My Problem with Managing Time References

My Problem with Managing Time References

Discussions including time references are known to be a total disaster for me. I often express things take awhile to complete as to taking two years when really it was only two days. I often follow my time reference up with a “well not really, but you know what I mean” statement. Timeliness is an issue for me in regard to references however I am attempting to tone down my time exaggerations in order to better please my listening audience. I realize that I tend to show dramatic when I say something took forever when it could have really been just one hour. I am very fast paced and at times it is beneficial to me and other times I shoot myself in the foot for being too fast paced. Expression that are over exuberant I am certain could become annoying when they are expressed in this manner more so than they are not. Attempting to state what it is rather that what it felt like are probably much more accepted and tolerated than severe exaggerations.

When I am at a store there is nothing that bothers me more that the behind me in line getting so close I can feel their breath on my neck. It almost seems as though some people have absolutely zero consideration for another person space. I can not really pinpoint the reasons why this action bothers me so very much when an individual gets so close but some of my physical reactions to this are to clutch my purse tight against my body in fear that the reasons for their actions are that they may be trying to steal my belongings. I also tend to offset myself from them by standing along side my cart verse behind it. If that fails to keep them at a safe distance I will politely ask them to take a step back which often causes them to huff and get rude as if I asked them for their first born child.
