My Top Three Movies

My Top Three Movies

Whenever someone ask s me what my favorite movie is, I usually go blank. There are so many great movies out there. There are different genres for different kinds of people. Some people prefer comedy and horror, and some people prefer drama and action. Me personally I like action, thriller, and sci-fi. My three favorite movies would have to be The Crow, Natural Born Killers, and The Cell.
One of my favorite movies of all time would have to be The Crow. It was released in 1994 and was written by James O’Barr, the creator of the comic book series, and it was directed by Alex Proyas. The movie is about a character named Eric Draven, played by Brandon Lee, who was killed and thrown out a five story building. His fiancé ,Shelly Webster, was brutality beaten and raped, and she lived only to die thirty hours after the incident. One year later he has been risen from the grave with the help of the crow. The crow guides restless souls back to the land of the living to put the wrong things right. The crow also grants the vigilante supernatural powers like invincibility, and is the reason why Eric was brought back to life. So Eric exacts his revenge on his killers and becomes the avenger of the movie. His fiancés friend Sarah, who is a thirteen year old girl, and Officer Alberht, who never let the investigation go, help Eric avenge his lover’s death. I think the plot and setting of the movie is a wonderful mix. It is a creepy, gothic tale with fantastic camera shots that only adds to the gloomy dark atmosphere.
One of my other favorite movies in my DVD collection is Natural Born Killers. Also released in 1994, it was written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Oliver Stone. The movie stars Woody Harrelson, as Mickey Knox, and Juliette Lewis, as Mallory Knox who are both outcasts, lovers and serial killers. Mickey grew up with an abusive father and an alcoholic mother, and Mallory grew up with a sexually abusive father, played by Rodney Dangerfield, and a mother...
