Myspace and Addiction

Who knew that a simple comment on a website such as Myspace could stir so much dramatic attention? These days the one thing that everybody at South High could relate to is Myspace. Virtually, everybody has a Myspace, whether they created there page or someone has created one for them. This has become our new way of socializing and seeking out information from one another. Almost all conversations that are taking place at our school could be linked back somehow to Myspace. The way that technology has expanded and made our lives easier has also taught us how to isolate ourselves rather than to go out and be with our friends. Some people today claim that they certainly can not go a single day without checking their Myspace. Also, we can easily find someone on Myspace by putting in their name and area they live in. So if someone could find you that easily what makes you think your Boyfriend or Girlfriend won’t either even if you lie to them. We worry so much about what others see and or say on each of our pages, when if there is something you don’t want people to see maybe your page should be private instead of putting your life on display. Not to mention, our school has another thing in common, gossiping. But, now instead of talking about it we’ve become worse by leaving evidence behind in Myspace messages and comments. These thing could easily be saved and printed out. All I’m saying is that Myspace has been blown up and become way to popular among our peers. Too many friendships are lost because of what He/She commented on Him/Her. This socializing tool is ridiculous, I may have

a Myspace myself, yet, I don’t use it to
explain my life story. I really wouldn’t like having my life up on display or have other people read my personal conversations with another.
