Nazia Sultana ID# 0820113 Dr. Razia Sultana Khan Assignment# 3 3rd March 2009 Trifles While reading the script, I myself started feeling sympathy for Mrs. Wright's loneliness and frustration, despite the fact that she has supposedly murdered her husband in his sleep. Emotional appeal is an incredibly powerful thing. The women experience a hesitation about whether to hide this evidence of a motive and help out a fellow wife, or whether to go with the law and look at everything from the single standpoint of her having killed her husband. In the end they choose the former option, and hide the evidence. The audience is left to decide for themselves whether or not this action is justified, and consider what they themselves would do in such a situation.Last weekend went to Kishoreganj, a district a few hours away from Dhaka. Kishoreganj, a northern district of Dhaka, is enriched with archaeological heritage. It has a glorious past and people of this district contribute a lot for Bangladesh from the very beginning. And when I had an opportunity to visit this district, I packed up my bags and was ready to set my foot in the historical place. Most people prefer to travel by bus these days. But I certainly thought travelling by train was way convenient. My family and I boarded on the train from Dhaka at eight in the morning. It’s always amazing to ride on a train, because the train will take you from the countryside, whereas if you ride a bus it would take you from the highway. The best part of the scenic view came when we were crossing the Meghna Bridge. The Meghna receives the Old Brahmaputra on its right at Bhairab Bazar. The rail bridge we passed through is called “Bhairab Bridge”.
Upon reaching Kishoreganj Sadar (town) we boarded on a hotel and immediately set out to explore. At first the town seemed like any other district with lots of rickshaws and narrow roads. Some locals inform us that the city has not changed much in the last 15 years or so. The people...
