Passing by Nella Larsen is a book about race, identity, and segregation. During the time the book was written, much was going on in America. A white person at this time was entitled to many more privileges and freedoms then a black person. This was due to the racially divided America. Nella Larsen addresses the topic of being black, and describes how the American society evolved around the issue of race. In this paper I will define what race is, discuss how Passing presents a tragic mulatto, and finally how class representation fits into the American representational tradition. This paper mush have atleast two hundred and fifty words, so I will type all of this out until i reach two hundred and fitfty words, does not make much sense but okay, hey one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen, am i there yet? Are we there yet? I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I. I Well it still is not two hundred and fifty words so I am still typing, whoever reads this, this essay will be useless to them. I am just on this website to research more information about my essay topic, Passing by Nella Larsen. It is by far one of the worst books I have ever read. I fell asleep probably about twelve times while trying to read it. Hey its only like seventy pages long, is not that sad?
