Pulling back the curtains, I looked out the dirty window to see the sun covered by the dark grey clouds. Within seconds there was a tremendous downpour battering the windows, leaving me anxious about my chances of getting out onto the sea.
Lying back in my bed, I wondered if there was any chance of me getting onto that speedboat, I could still see it jumping up and down with the waves. Ever since I was eight I wanted to go on that speedboat more than anything but someone or something always got in the way. Nothing could take that away from me now, the whole purpose of our trip had been to ride on that super fast boat. Unfortunatly , this day was no exception to the days before it. A huge bolt of disappointed hit me and made me feel miserable, as I was told the weather was too bad for us to use that speedboat today.
Awoken the next day by the streams of sunlight flowing through the window I was excited at the prospect of what this day held in store for me. After waiting for whated seemed like an eternity, my uncle awoke and we hurried into the car and made our way to the sea front. Jumping onto the speedboat I was rearing togo. The engine started with a roar and we were off!! It was a sensation I had never thought I could feel. It was truly amazing. I was screaming with joy and laughter. All of a sudden, the waves started to become rougher but I didn’t care I loved it.

The wind rushed through my hair as I was thrown side to side by the waves, which had built up around me. The speedboat was showing how fast it’s engine could really go and then I bacame scared ☹. As the boat tore around the corner, I was lifted three feet into the air, hanging on for dear life. The spray was hitting my face making it feel icy cold and raw. This also reduced my sight and made my mouth taste of salt. The muscles in my hands felt as if they were going to tear, my body was being thrown around like a ball in the park.
