Trust is a wonderful thing, but what concerns me was putting too much trust in other people , it could become a bad thing. Also, there is a lot when we meet people who seemingly can become good friends, I realize are they are just taking advantage of me. Many people hide their true nature, they are initially friendly and open, and want to help others, but you realize that they never there for you.
Jon was my best friend throughout my entire life. We shared everything with each other and sometimes people thought that we were brother and sister. Jon was a free spirited person with a very good sense of humor. When freshmen year started, he joined the football team. Throughout the school year, he made a lot of friends and became really popular during his sophomore year since he played football as a quarterback. Usually, a lot of the girls especially the cheerleaders were attracted to him. For that reason, I began to doubt our friendship. At that moment, I felt left out and insecure about myself because of all the people wanted to become his friends. Therefore, I confronted him about my insecure feelings. First, he apologized about how I felt. Then, Jon told me that nothing will ever change our friendship even if he was popular.
After the confrontment, I forgave Jon and we became good friends again. A few week later, we bonded with each other very well. We shared every little secret and our goals with each other. I remembered that one of his goals in life was to become an entrepreneur and made a lot of money so he could buy his mom a house. Jon and I literally did every activity together. On a nice weather day, we usually skipped school together to go lay on the grass at the hill near to our school and talk about our dreams in life. As I recalled those memories, I remembered him saying that he wanted to move somewhere far away from Pennsylvania for college.
