Identifying the Operating System
My home computer’s name is This-PC. I have Windows 7 Home Premium edition installed. Yes, there is also a service pack installed. It is Service Pack 1.
Five Features that I learned are available in Windows 7 are:
1. Feature 1: Extending a partition: Windows 7/Vista enables you to extend the size of a partition or shrink it from within the Disk Management utility (Pearson, 2011). This is a very useful option because as applications continue to be installed into the Windows system, one day, suddenly you will find that the system (drive C:) or boot partition do not have enough free disk space, and when every time the system starts, Windows always prompts the following information: "You are running out of disk space on SYSTEM (C:), To free space on this drive by deleting old or unnecessary files, click here…"

Rather than deleting files, a temporary solution, you can extend the partition/shrink another and restore normalcy to your work (Extend System Partition in Windows 8/7/Vista/XP and Windows Server 2000/2003/2008. Web. Reference: http://www.extend-partition.com/extend-system-boot-partition.html).
2. Feature 2: Libraries: Libraries are where you go to manage your documents, music, pictures, and other files. You can browse your files the same way you would in a folder, or you can view your files arranged by properties like date, type, and author (Pearson, 2011). A library gathers files that are stored in several locations. Libraries don’t actually store your items. They monitor folders that contain your items, and let you access and arrange the items in different ways. For instance, if you have music files in folders on your hard disk and on an external drive, you can access all of your music files at once using the Music library (Libraries: frequently asked questions. Web. Reference: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/libraries-faq#1TC=windows-7).
3. Feature 3: Windows Aero: The Windows Vista visual experience...
