These days it is not uncommon having people going about their jobs with head inclined and one hand curled over the ear. These people also seem to be talking to themselves , they waggle their hands and smile , laugh ,snarl at nobody around in particular . In this bewilderment the tell –tale instrument is spotted nestling close to the ear and suddenly the mystery of curious postures and odd behavior is cleared. After all it is only the mobile phone !!
In good old pre-mobile days life was leisurely , adventurous and free, Mobiles have reduced intimacy and person to person communication .People in general feel unguarded as far as their privacy is concerned and go to the extent of telling that they can do without the Mobile. But the truth unfortunately is that once technology has taken us a step forward it is almost impossible to reverse the change. Mobile phones have come to stay.
It all started in Japan in 1979 when the first commercial network was launched by NTT . This was then followed by a boom . In the next 20 years these phones which were considered rare, expensive equipment of the business elite have become low-cost personal items. In the United States over 236 million people subscribed to such communication devices as cell phones as of May 2007.
There is no end to the list of advantages and conveniences from the use of these phones The phenomenal increase in its use is a proof in itself. Most mentionable part about them is that the law enforcement globally rely heavily upon mobile telephone evidence. In EU the "communications of every mobile telephone user is recorded
The glaring example is of the investigations in 2004 Madrid train bombings.
