Obligations

Obligations

Over the past several months, not only the American people suffered from economic crisis but also us…the Filipino people and other countries which most of their businesses and economy depends on the support of the US government. But my plea to my fellow citizens is that we should refrain from distancing ourselves from reality. I believe that our country can surpass this crisis if we become independent from a bureaucratic system to solve our problems. If we really want to create "change" in our society, there are some fundamental ethical issues that must be addressed. Each and every one of us has an obligation that must faithfully fulfill and executed.
First, Filipinos must stop being abusing human rights and freedom. Yes, we have the freedom to speak, freedom to use natural resources, freedom to choose best politician which we think is our savior in helping us out from poverty. But from me my friend, even from the beginning the politics was never been fair in executing their obligations, like us, a simple citizen. For example, in our everyday lives, we use money for our expenses. Money sometimes creates happiness and completeness of ones life. Maybe, most of the time is happiness but not fully complete because we are not using it in a right way. If you are a married person, it is your obligations to spend the money for the sake of your family, for the survival of your family. As a father or mother, it is your obligation to raise and give your child the right food and education. It is important that we faithfully fulfilled our obligations as a parents because this will help us makes our child grow better, and to become a good citizen of our country. Who knows? Maybe someday, he or she will be one of a good politician will make a law for the benefits of his/her fellow citizen. But remember, becoming a good citizen not only relies from the parents, also on the child or person itself.
