1. Welcome

Professor McLean welcomed everyone to the fifth meeting of the No-Fault Compensation Review Group. (The meeting was held in the video conferencing room to facilitate a link with Dr Ian Bashford, Medical Director, NHS Highland. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to make the link.)

Item 4 was taken first to allow Professor Murdoch to leave once his paper had been considered. The minutes record the items in the order they appeared on the agenda.

2. Introduction and apologies

Professor McLean advised that:
Fred Tyler had submitted his resignation from the group due to ill health. The Law Society replacement representative was Ann Logan, a clinical negligence specialist, also with Balfour and Manson. Ann attended the meeting;
Rebekah Male had advised that this would be her last...
