Proposal Package for Riordan
The objective of the paper is to submit a proposal package of a process design for Riordan Manufacturing. The paper will begin with a material requirements planning (MRP) for the manufacturing of Riordan electric fans. Then the paper will describe a new process design for the production of the fans. Furthermore, a supply chain will be developed to distribute the fans to the consumer along with production forecast to identify demand for the product. The proposal will include an implementation plan and a cover letter detailing how we will coordinate the operations planning and total quality management (TQM). Finally, a review of the proposal will be provided.
Material resource planning
An Operational policy for Phase I Inventory Management System implementation will be initially conducted at the Riordan Plastics Plant during a down time of the year. Due to the plant size and structure, implementation, evaluation, and testing will be easy to assist in identifying key issues for a new system in larger plants.
The Executive Sponsor will oversee all areas of the Phase I implementation. His primary focus will be to work out all business level policies and procedures that lack compatibility with current Inventory and Manufacturing operational systems. Project Director for Riordan Manufacturing will act as the point man for Phase I of new Inventory and Manufacturing MRP system. Project team will be comprised of key personnel for the following departments (see organization chart below):

The project team will plan for and do their best to address constraints and issues involved with Phase I implementation. Issues will be reported to Project Manager through a project issue document which will be logged and reviewed by him for assignment and a resolution date.
