OUR CHALLENGE FOR US TODAY

Today we come before you Lord, giving thanks for your kindness, love and mercy; you have been so good to us, in the name of your beloved son, Jesus Christ.
In the same way the people of Israel were challenged yesterday to be God’s people, we are as well. We are challenged in living according to God’s precepts and commands.
Today the Word of God again is calling us to be God’s people, through living the Gospel and the good news of Jesus Christ. God is giving through Christ the Masaya, the reconciliation to all human beings and He is calling us to integrate a holy nation, a holy body from all races and languages. Today his holy Word and his divine Spirit one more time have brought us all together from all nations and all races to form one holy nation, under the holy invisible God. His word in the same way like yesterday, today is calling us to be merciful, with the poor, the weak, and the alien, and in this way to be his light and his witness’.
Today, in the same way like yesterday the word of God was the rule of life, and light for Israel, It is also the light and norm for us. This Word is teaching us, to take care of the poor, the weak, and the immigrant. We are being demanded from God to live according to his holy Word, to be his holy nation and unique people in which his love and mercy dwell. His law, justice, wisdom and mercy teach us that not always the legal act is the just one. We have to remember that the supreme law is the Word of God, and the Lord today is asking of us to live according to his Word, his truth and mercy as children of God.
Today we are asking the Lord, to let us receive his grace and upon so, we will love ourselves and love our neighbors, having respect for the life of all mankind. One more time we need the touch of the Holy Spirit over our lives, and upon so, to live and to do God’s justice in our nation, and community.
Today, his Word of eternal life is calling us to live lives...
