Our client, Justin King, recently won the National Idol Regional Contest, a signing competition in Chicago. Although he was supposed to become a signer, he claims he was in a car accident and can no longer perform. On or around April 5th, Justin was at his agent’s office where he signed a contract with MCI records. Although their main office is in Nashville, Tennessee, MCI Records had agreed to meet with Justin at their Chicago office. The contract stated that Justin would earn a guaranteed amount of $275,000 for three years plus a percentage of sales. The accident happen after leaving his agents office also located in Chicago.
