Paper or Plastic?
Today millions of dollars will be spent all over the world but in many different methods. Cold hard cash or credit cards are the two most popular ways of spending your earnings the fastest. There are benefits and downfalls to using both, but America lives off of them. With credit cards, it makes it possible to shop online and used almost all around the world. Whereas cash you are not able to purchase online items and are limited to what countries you can spend in. With credit cards you have the security of the company behind your money, but also deal with the fraud. As opposed to cash, where there is nothing to protect your money besides your own self. But one downfall to credit cards would be spending more money with each swipe and adding on interest rates. While cash that you have in your pocket gives you a feel of pride and you do not want to spend that pride, so you tend to hold on to it longer. Credit cards or cash can both have benefits and downfalls with shopping issues, security purposes, and the problem with spending more money.
One benefit for using a credit card over paper money would be the non-limit ability to shop. There is an ease with which payments can be arranged online. “Now, with new payment systems such as PayPal, even individuals can accept credit card payments with great ease and for very little expense” (exinearticles). Instead of traveling to your favorite stores that may be miles away, just with a punch of a few numbers and a click of a mouse it is yours from your own
home. Even using credit cards abroad, “They are fast becoming an internationally recognized currency” (exinearticles). Instead of locating the nearest ATM once you land in another country, you can waste no time, and go along with your vacation and swipe your credit card almost anywhere. It may always be a benefit to have a credit card when you are too much of a couch potato to go shopping, or while you’re with your family vacationing in...
