Paper Plates Technical Proposal
The purpose of this proposal is to introduce the GPS system and the Apple IPad. These devices would be very helpful in running a business. Wireless technology is impacting the way in which people operates their business. Wireless technology provides companies with excellent opportunities to help grow our business. By introducing two new wireless technologies into our business this will benefit everyone in every department. This potentially increase sales.
The pros of having a GPS tracker is this will enable all of our delivery drivers to find customers easily when they are out on the road. By purchasing a GPS tracking system that monitors the company vehicles we can monitor each driver and provide the customers with up-to-date information on their delivery times and location. Also with the implementation of both of these technologies, the sales department would be able to respond to customer’s issues, create solutions outside the work environment, respond to email and calls, and make presentation of our product. The cons of having a GPS tracker is the truck may be in an area where they aren’t covered by wireless internet and this would make it hard to track the vehicle. In some cases you may find yourself in a dead zone while moving.
By using the Apple iPad it can give the competitive edge that the company needs in providing the customers with onsite visualization of custom ordered plates and napkins. The iPad gives the company ability to upload all of our plate and napkin designs on one device and share it between departments and with the customers. We can also incorporate personal photos designs into themed party supplies using iPad. We can utilize Apple’s Cloud application to transfer photos of customized orders from one iPad or iPhone to our design department. This can speed up the order processing time. The cons of using...
