Pay attention to what are you saying!

Many scientists think that there are distinct differences in speech between women and men. Their theories are based on observations, which, in my opinion, make the difference quite obvious. Personally, I agree with the claim that women and men talk in different ways. What is more, I can see these differences in my everyday life. Janet Holmes in the article “Women Talk Too Much”, Tony Kornheiser in the essay “No Detail Is Too Small for Girls Answering a Simple Question”, and Rachel Rafelman in the piece of writing “The Party Line”, have confirmed the theory of speech differences. Their arguments as well as my own experiences have led me to believe that female and male do not talk in the same way. It is worth to discuss about the divergence in speech, because we need to know how to talk with the other sex. It happens very often that, after a conversation between a male and a female, one of the genders will feel insulted because of a misunderstanding. Women need to focus on words which are said to men, and men need to focus on words which are said to women. Ladies and gentlemen talks differently, we should know these differences, furthermore, we should pay attention on them while we are talking. I am sure it will help to avoid many conflicts.
First topic which I would like to discuss is the content of the speech. Tony Kornheiser, in his essay, “No Detail Is Too Small for Girls Answering a Simple Question” describes how women include details in their speech. Analyzing the differences between his daughter and his son, he concluded that a girl and boy will answer it in two differently constructed ways, when asked the same question. Boys can easily disregard unimportant issues and make a brief but meaningful answer, whereas girls try to forward all of the information without missing any details.
