Peace and Democracy Capacity Building in Kenya.
Project Proposal

March, 2013

Since independence Kenya faces deeply rooted social injustices, marginalisation, ethnic polarisation, inequality and iniquity among those who have access to basic social services and those who do not. All these issues surface front time o time in different parts of the country and presidential elections is the occasion when political leader often use the social injustices to further polarize the country to the level of not only political debate but also and more importantly to physical confrontation that yields death and significant levels of displacement and suffering of particularly women and children. A total financial support of USD1,055,620 is requested from donors with which CAPI will reach out 10 Counties and approximately 9.5 million people. Women and youth are particularly targeted.
