PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY



Personal responsibility’s definition may differ from person to person but my view on personal responsibility may be common or it might be not. I believe personal responsibility means being able to take care of oneself and those you are responsible for. Personal responsibility is also something that comes in different environments as far as home, work, school and such sort. And depending on that specific environment, your responsibility may differ between each one. Their might be other situations when you are not just responsible for yourself but for other people as well.
Definitions and meanings may differ between people but the understanding of the word or phrase has the same concept within all the different definitions and meanings. I believe personal responsibility is being able to take care of yourself and others you are responsible for. It is your responsibility to conduct personal hygiene everyday, shower, brush your teeth, wash your clothes and so forth. Work related responsibilities also become personal responsibilities, being on time, wear the proper uniform, have all your materials and tools ready work and etc. Becoming responsible for others is a big step as far as being married and or having children or you could also have pets. At any of those three points they become your personal responsibility. You might be the one to pay the bills, cook, clean and be a role model for the children are some examples. Once you have other people or things that depend on you, that’s when you are personally responsible for those items for loved ones. In addition to ones own personal responsibilities, school is a very important foundation for education.
College success and personal responsibility I believe cannot go on without one another. College success for me is not something that is given or that is done accidentally, it is something you must invest time in, sacrifice and step up to. It’s...
