Amanda Rosser COM 100.002 June 4, 2008 Reflection Paper #2 My Persuasion A few weeks ago, I went shopping with a girlfriend. We went to Maurices, Rue 21, Ultaand Old Navy. When we went to Old Navy, I sawthis dress that was very cute. I was amazed that the rack that it was on stated that it was on sale for $19.99. The dress originally was originally $36.00. I continued to shop through the store, but did not see anything that caught my eye. Sometimes, when I go shopping I definitely have to be in the mood or I will not like anything no matter how much it is on sale for. Well I tried the dress on and it fit perfect. And it was the perfect price. All the shopping had finally started to make me hunger to I was ready to check out. I went to the register and waited in line. It was my turn;the cashier rang up my dress and then said $38.88. I looked at her as if I had just eatensomething I did not like. I then told her that the dress was on sale for $19.99. She said no. I then told her that there was a rack of these dresses and above them was a sale sign of $19.99. She went back there and brought the sign up and on the bottom in micro-small print it stated that the sale did not take effect until two days later. I said that it was not right to put these sale signs up because it was kind of false advertising. I then asked for the manager. I discussed the situation with the manager and said that it was not right to do that, and that I was a very loyal customer that would not be coming back. The manager agreed with me that they should have waited and went ahead and sold me the dress for the sale price. So I guess with a little persuasion of saying that I would not come back I got what I wanted!
