All animals deserve a home. Animals are beautiful creations from God that needs to be cherished and loved; no matter how big or how small. We need to respect animals and thier home with the same respect us humans give to each others home. Animals such as Polar Bears are losing there natural habitat, and us humans are causing it. Our selfish acts are contributing to the loss of the Artic ice, which is vital for the Polar bears survival. The Polar bear population is quickly declining and we must take action, and make a change to our way of life to make it easier for the Polar bear.
The main reason why the Polar Bear population is quickly declining is because of climate change (WWF). The ice on the Artic is very important to Polar Bears since these creatures use ice for a variety of reasons. One reason is Polar Bears are not aquatic animals, meaning they in not actually live in the water; they are dependant on the ice to catch thier food. Food is very important because it gives the animals its nutrition and prevents it from dying of starvation. Female Polar bears need the food the most to feed its cubs so it can grow. With no ice to use as a hunting ground, the Polar Bears will have trouble finding the food it needs to survive (Alaska Science Center). According to the World Wildlife Fund "Many Polar bears now suffer from malnutrition and others face starvation, espcially females with cubs."(WWF). The ice is melting because of global warming. Global warming is trapped heat in our atmostpear that increases the temparature of the Earth. The temarature increasing is caused by the emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon diozide, water vapour, nitrous oxide, and methane. According to U.S. Government stuies, "two-thirds of the world's Polar bears could disappear by 2050 as global warming continues to melt the Artic's sea ice." (Roach, 2007). Not only is the ice important for hunting, it is also where Polar Bears live. The ice is there home, hunting ground...
