Pop Music Essay

During Mr. Koba’s magnificent presentation I learned about the style and mood of the 60s. I think that it is important to learn about the music of the time period to know everything about it. Although I don’t particularly listen to much music from the sixties, his performance in class was a good. I think that he really described the movement of the time as well because he put things in perspective on really what the 60s was about. Mr.Koba made me appreciate the music a bit more knowing how compassionate and into the music they were. I think that we should all take some time to listen to the music of the time to better understand it. Sex, drugs and rock a roll being a big part of the time was also in a lot of the music. In Mr. Koba’s presentation I better understood what it was all about. Although he may not be the best guitar player I learned a great deal on during his time in class. I think to better appreciate anything you have to relate to it. In music especially you have to know what is going on during the time and why they may have wrote a song or what I really means. I would personally like to thank Mr.Koba for spending his time to tell us more and a personal incite on the 60s. In the 1960s the music was different because of the evolution of rock and roll. I think that anyone can learn from the time period about how things are in life. The 60s showed how wild and free rock and roll was. So the music was more free willed, I think Mr.Koba was a great example and had a good presentation of the music of the era. I think everyone should take time to learn about the 60s musically to know just how different and changing things were.
