I think a prefect should be a really positive role model for younger students. A prefect is seen as a leading demonstration of what the school is to the outside world. That is why; it is an essential part of the school’s representation, which shows the institution as a great community.
A prefect should be an all round friendly person and must be ready to give advice or any kind of help to anyone that asks for it. There should be also, excellent communication skills. The prefect cannot lose its temper while discussing, either with an authority or with a student.
This position has to be occupied by someone who knows how to listen and also accept the rules from the school, which give us direction and tell us how we have to act towards the institution.
In addition, he or she must be someone who has excellent manners when addressing teachers or pupils and also, do it gracefully.

As I enter the last year of my education I wish to impact the school that has taught me unforgettable life lessons. I would be honored to represent this school and would love to help people out with their problems and cooperate with enthusiasm. I would be ready to offer my advice or help to anyone who needs it and I would try my absolute best at any obstacle that overcomes my way. Not only I will try to help the students, but also the authorities if a complication may appear.
I think that I would be of great help for the younger students, especially the ones who are entering secondary, because I have been in their position and I know how, sometimes, secondary school may seem, with all its implications. Therefore, I would give them comfort and useful advices to go through their new situation. For example, next year we will have to include to our community the year seven and year six students.
