To Vote or Not, Who Knows?
This whole election I have been confused. Why, because I cannot tell the difference between the lies and the truths. Who has time to write down what the candidates are saying and checking that against facts? I know I don’t I want to be able to know that the person who is going to run the United States is a reliable truthful person. And not somebody that will tell me lies just to make themselves look better.
I have talked about the presidential race with my mother. I asked her who she was voting for and why. She responded and said President Obama because giving the fact that Former President Bush really messed up America she feels that he is doing the best that he can. Also that everyone makes mistakes but it takes a smart person to learn from the and not make the mistake again. Also that he can’t fix 8 years worth of mistakes in one year. I was surprised that in some of the debates between President Obama and Governor Romney, how low the stooped to make each other look bad. But in the end I don’t think they realized that they made their selves look bad. It sadden me that somebody that I defended and looked up to stoop that low just to make his competition look bad. So for that reason I am choosing not to vote. I decided that because of two main reason, one because I can’t tell what’s a lie and what’s not a lie and two how low they stooped.
In an article names “Taking stock of some of the claims and counterclaims” it states “Mr. Romney said Mr. Obama had doubled the deficit. That is not true. When Mr. Obama took office in January 2009, the Congressional Budget Office had already projected that the deficit for fiscal year 2009, which ended Sept. 30 of that year, would be $1.2 trillion. (It ended up as $1.4 trillion.)
