Process Identification and Analysis Paper
In this paper, our team represents a group of mangers in Riordan Manufacturing, which has been selected to run a pilot process improvement team. The team selected the on-time delivery rate of 93 percent from the past year on electric fans being produced at the China Plant. The paper will describe the process targeted for improvement as well as including an As-Is flow chart outlining the process. Included in the paper is a description of why analyzing the process can be useful in improving quality. A list of Quality tools that the team recommends using to collect and present data to improve the delivery rate. An analysis is conducted of the process variability, which is based upon our understanding of the improvement process and any data, which we collect. The paper will conclude recommendations for process improvement strategies for the selected process and a discussion of how our quality improvement strategy is linked to the strategic goals of the organization.
