Prom

Prom

It's that time of year, prom season. Two month's exactly till prom, and the prom commitee is going bizarre. Every girl around is searching for the perfect dress, shoes, and styled hair. But not me, I wasn't interested besides its only the junior prom, not even the senior ball.
"We could get you this dress," as Claire shoved her Iphone in my face. "It will look gorgeous on you," she insisted. I stared at the pink dress. It had a jeweled bow around the waist and the bottom had lots of ruffles, but it wasn't made in plus size.
"Please, my but was not going to fit and even if it did I couldn't pull that off," handing her back the Iphone. I leaned back into the pile of pillows that covered my bed. Grace and I were spending this friday night and every friday night for that matter eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream and moping around wondering why no guy in the entire student body had asked them to prom yet. I threw my empty Half Baked ice cream container in the garbage and laid my spoon the the nightstand. Claire threw me a stack of prom magagines she saved up sence freshman year.
"Why can't I be pretty enough to be asked to prom?" Claire murmered. I rolled my eyes and continued to flip through the overpriced dress magazine. My family was not like Claires, I couldn't afford an expensive dress.
"I wish I was pretty"
"It's only junior prom, relax. You still have senior year," I assured her. Claire rolled her eyes and gleamed at me the way she always did when she was annoyed.
"What about you? Don't you wish a guy asked you? Every guy has a-"
"If you say crush I will slap your face," I warned.
"Sorry, I just wonder why a guy hasn't asked you. You're pretty unlike me," Claire was the kind of girl that wanted you to tell her she is beautiful and to her wishes I did.
"Non-sense Claire you're beautiful and every guy would be senceless not to ask you to prom."
"Oh well I guess your right, I am pretty arn't I?"
"Yes Claire," I groaned.
"What about Camryn?"...
